Mala’a’s General Manager, Bassam Al Jamali, received the Credit Information Services Leader of the Year award by Alam Aliktisad awards 2024. This recognition honors his pioneering role in developing innovative solutions to enhance the financial sector and improve credit information services in the Sultanate.
Mr. Bassam Bin Tariq Bin Abdul Redha Al Jamali brings in a vast experience of over 24 years in the Central Bank of Oman in the Investment and Payment Infrastructure fields. Throughout his career, he has taken up significant roles which included: Business Strategy Planning and Execution, Economic Analysis, Finance, Risk Management and Pension Fund Management.
Upon receiving the Alam Aliktisad Awards 2024, Mr. Al Jamali remarked, “I am both privileged and honored to accept this award, which will elevate Mala’a to new heights. This recognition highlights the collective efforts of the team in establishing Mala’a as the national databank.”
Mala’a plays a crucial role in enhancing the financial landscape of the Sultanate by promoting financial inclusion, fostering a conducive environment for business, and mitigating credit risks by assisting various institutions in making informed financial choices. Additionally, Mala’a contributes to Oman’s economic growth by improving loan quality while respecting the decision-making autonomy of institutions.
